Where is rafe

I tried not to look at him as a villain. Obviously he's playing this antagonist role in the story. But I just did my best to keep trying to understand who this guy is and hopefully try to explain why he's doing the things that he's doing. If I were to approach it as that, as I'm playing a villain, it would come across as flat. I like that it's up to the audience to interpret that. You can have empathy for this character, you're free to do so because the writers have done a good job of planting the backstory and his relationship with the other characters, but he's still making really terrible choices as a person.

This is not a good person overall. I think the only maybe empathetic part about him is that he's trying — he's truly and honestly trying — to be good. He just doesn't know how.

There's no part of him that understands the mechanics in order to do that, he's never had to be a good person. So if I was watching this guy on screen I would be like, "Oh my God, this guy is terrible. What's going through his mind in that moment where he decides to not shoot at the Pogues as they escape the ship? This was kind of a longer conversation we had before we shot that, because in that moment you don't really understand why he hasn't done it.

I think what it boils down to is he's looking at his little sister. It's interesting seeing him going from shooting and literally killing Sarah at the beginning of the season and trying to drown her later in the season to now choosing not to shoot at her in the finale. It's like you don't actually know if that's a moment of growth for him. Exactly, it's like there is something underneath the surface, maybe. You never know what he's doing to play to his advantage in these situations and hopefully control things for the betterment of himself.

It could be growth, it could just be change in a lateral kind of way, but it's definitely juxtaposed to the scene where he's got a hold of Sarah in the water, that's for sure.

Heading into a third season, does Rafe actually believe that he can somehow get Sarah to come back to the family after everything he's done to her? That is a good question. Rafe Cameron is one of the main characters and the secondary antagonist in Outer Banks.

He is portrayed by Drew Starkey. Rafe is the eldest son of Ward Cameron the older brother of Sarah , and the older brother of Wheezie. Rafe was supposed to be next in line to inherit the Cameron business. This plan failed when Rafe dropped out of college and started down a much darker path in life.

He became addicted to drugs, specifically cocaine, and dealt cocaine to the fellow Kooks. Before the pilot Rafe dropped out of college and returned home. He has a strained relationship with his father.

He is disrespectful and leering towards his sister, calling her a bitch on multiple occasions, directly and indirectly to his friends. Throughout Season 1, Rafe is seen most often hanging out with his best friends, Topper and Kelce, doing "kook" activities like partying and going to the beach.

Rafe gets into a bit of trouble with Barry , the town drug dealer, and he owes him a lot of money. John Hancock. Pete Griffiths. Show all 11 episodes. Jay Wratten. William 'Maniac' Hunt. Drew was reportedly previously linked to actress Claire Van der Linden. He particularly hates the Pogues, the group that his sister Sarah now belongs. Drew won the role of Rafe after originally auditioning for John B.

I put it on tape and sent it in. But we have this other role that we think he might be right for. Prior to his role on Outer Banks, Drew Starkey had several credits to his name.

Drew can be seen right at the start of the episode, as one of the gunmen that holds up the convenience store. Drew Starkey played the role of Hawkins in Scream: Ressurection.
